Nike SB is back again with another special edition of the Nike SB Dunk Low, this time dedicated to the Grateful Dead Bears.
The Grateful Dead Rock-Band has been around for quite sometime. Formed in 1965 out of Palo Alto California, their music still plays a vital role in a lot of rock fans’ lives. Now Nike SB will be featuring a special edition of their Dunk Low i spired by the Grateful Dead Bears, which was a special design on the back of their The History of the Grateful Dead Volume 1 (Bear’s Choice) album in 1973 which showcased a variety of colorful bears dancing. And for many this is not the first time seeing the bears as Be@rbrick has already featured a collaboration with the coveted Grateful Dead Bears.
This sneaker easily is dedicated to the green bear but we expect to see two more iterations release as well just like the 2006 “Three Bears” pack. Featuring fuzzy faux fur side paneling, ankles and toes, green suede covers the overlays throughout the shoe. A blue jagged Nike Swoosh graces the midfoot, inspired by the bears jester collar which matches the blue rubber outsole, and branding in the tongue and heel. Finishing off the design is a stash pocket on the heel in which you can store your … belongs.
